Mastersingers &
the Mid-Columbia Symphony

To close their season, the Mid-Columbia Symphony will perform music that explores the idea of "Faith", including Stravinsky's dramatic Symphony of Psalms and the majestic Gloria by Francis Poulenc. Other repertoire will offer varied perspectives on "Faith" - Baal Shem: Three Pictures of Hassidic Life by Ernst Bloch and The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam by Alan Hovhaness. The MCS will be joined by the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers, Mid-Columbia Boys' Choir, guest soprano Molly Holleran, soloist Kate Carter on violin and a guest narrator and solo accordion.

  • MCM Principal Accompanist Position

    The Mid-Columbia Mastersingers seeks a Principal Accompanist to support our mission of transforming lives through the power of choral music.

    The Principal Accompanist will provide piano accompaniment for scheduled Mid-Columbia Mastersingers rehearsals, performances, and will provide piano accompaniment for the Mid-Columbia Boys' Choir performances as needed. Rehearsals are typically scheduled for Tuesday evenings in Richland, WA, with additional rehearsals during production week.

    The Principal Accompanist may be requested to provide services for performances, auditions, and other events not included in the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers regular season.

    Salary is $750 to $1000 per month -- $9000 to $12,000 per year -- depending on qualifications. The selection process will consist of a live audition with the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers, and an interview with the Artistic Director and members of the Board of Directors. The position will begin August 1, with auditions taking place in May.
