A Note from the Director

Consort Columbia is pleased to have been bringing excellent choral music performances to eastern Washington and Oregon for twenty years. From its inception in 1986, the group has sought to present choral music experiences that are exciting, challenging and meaningful for our audiences.

This season we will present four concerts of great beauty and variety. Each piece on this year's program line-up has a unique story to tell and I don't want you to miss a single moment.

I would especially like to encourage you to mark your calendars to attend the first annual "Tri-Cities May Festival" from May 9-13, 2008. This festival will celebrate the glories of vocal and choral music and will feature the wonderful Three Rivers Children's Chorus and terrific vocal soloists, in addition to Consort Columbia and orchestra. I truly hope you will be able to carve out time to attend all three of the special concerts we have planned for this exciting festival.

I want to thank you for your past support of Consort Columbia. This singing endeavor would have no meaning if you did not share it with us. I look forward to seeing you at the concerts!
